My story blends academic and corporate expertise. I hold a first-class honours Masters of Science in Information Technology Management, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a postgraduate diploma in counselling, and numerous certifications in information technology and management. In addition to these academic pursuits, I have worked in technology, focusing on web development, service delivery, and project management since 1999.

During my recent masters, I confronted an issue that plagues many students: the steep costs imposed by mainstream survey providers!   While juggling work with nighttime and weekend studies, I contacted all the top 10 systems and even with student discounts I found that they were too expensive for the value they offer.

Lucky for me, I have 20+ years working in web development. I researched the top open-source solutions on offer and was able to develop my survey for a small fraction of the cost being charged. A number of my fellow students were grateful for the savings. Motivated by the idea of ‘paying it forward’, I promised that I would put together a guide for other students to walk them through the process of setting up their own hosted survey so to avoid the exorbitant cost for robust and reliable survey platform. This led me to establish the ‘Dissertation Survey Hub’. Here’s to your academic success!
